About This Dashboard

This interactive dashboard app is for analytical use of general elections in Belize, including 2025 General Elections:

  • It has 6 pages: Country, Constituency, Candidates, Compare, Currents and Chatbot. (the Chatbot is not yet functional, but will be improved over the next few weeks)
  • You can view data by Year, District, Division, Polling Area.
  • The data includes data for general elections: 2025 to 1979. Some of the data is missing (Electorate gender) prior to 2008 as I could not obtain data from BE &B Dep’t. Also, 1984 voter turnout counts were missing for individual divisions, so I used 75% across all. 75% was the country voter turnout.

The dashboard is built using Microsoft Power BI, a powerful business analytics tool that delivers insights throughout your organization.

How to Use

  1. Navigate between pages: using the tabs at the bottom of the dashboard
  2. Filter data: by clicking on the slicers on the right top. Note, if you drill down to divisions or polling area, only the district/division for the sub-category will show, so you need to select all to show the entire district/division.
  3. Sorting on Tables: You can click on the column headers in tables to sort from smallest to largest. So if you wish to see highest Registered Voters on page 1, click the header and it will sort, click once more and it changes sorting.
  4. Zooming of Visual: On the top right of each visual, there is a “Focus mode” icon. If you click this icon, the visual will zoom in.
  5. View in fullscreen on the top right you can change to full screen view on your computer.
